While trying to remove the Styrofoam popcorn that was stuck in the LG UltraWide QHD 34-Inch Computer Monitor 34WP65C-B frame. While doing so, the monitor started to display lines going vertically on the screen. While speaking with the support agent, the agent asked me to look at the top of the monitor. The moment I tipped the monitor forward to look inside the vent, an electrical small came from the monitor, and just a few moments later the monitor went black. From hereon, the monitor would not function.

Initial (First Contact) contact with LG Electronics Warranty Repair

Initial contact with the LG Electronic warranty repair department. LG Electronics warranty deemed the monitor defective, including manufacturer cosmetic defects. And stated this was a "known problem". The agent said it was important that the lines on the monitor were going vertically, not horizontally. I had to send a picture showing this. Provided a FEDEX shipping label to return the monitor for repair. I requested a replacement, and it was denied. The agent stated that the warranty requires LG Electronics to fix the monitor. The agent sent by email a return shipping label. The return shipping label had the correct return address but, wrong city. The agent intered Cleora. It should have been Salida.

First update on warranty repair on the LG UltraWide QHD 34-Inch Computer Monitor 34WP65C-B. Per the text message that was sent by LG Electronics on January 3, 2025, it states that the parts required to repair my monitor has been DELAYED! The text states that if the parts don't arrive nearly a month later, LG Electronics will pursue an alternatie resolution The text asks me to send invoice, model number of the monitor, date of purchase, and sale price & tax info. Which, I alread had done twice prior when I originally sought warranty repair on December 24, 2024, as shown in the SMS/MMS message to the LG Electronics warranty repair agent!

Phone call to LG Electronics Warranty Repair

After receiving the text message from LG Electronics that the part to fix my monitor, LG UltraWide QHD 34-Inch Computer Monitor 34WP65C-B, may take nearly a month, I called to find alternative solutions. As this was not acceptable. I do not have a secondary monitor that I could use. As the "Phone Logs" show, I called LG Electronics and was transferred to their repair facility. I initially spoke with Jel. Jel informed me that not only is there a good possibility the parts (multiple parts) won't arrive by February 1, 2025, but may actually take up to two months or possibly more. I demanded to speak with a supervisor. Jel transferred me to Wendy. Wendy was the facility supervisor, as stated in the phone call. She confirmed what Jel stated. I informed Wendy this was totally not acceptable. I can't wait two months or more. Wendy asked why I don't just do a replacement. A replacement can be sent right away. I don't have to wait. I informed Wendy that I asked the initial warranty repair agent, who sent me the shipping label. He denied my request and stated the monitor had to be repaired. Wendy confirmed that is true, but once the monitor arrives at the facility and is checked and determined to be a manufactured defective device, a replacement can be sent. Wendy specifically stated in the call that not only can I, but I have a legal right as detailed in the limited warranty agreement. I checked the limited warranty agreement, and it does state that. I request a replacement. Wendy stated that she can't process the request. She would have to transfer me to the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison department, where I can request a replacement monitor to be sent.

Before doing so, I'm going to run the recording through either OpenAI Whisper or Amazon AWS Transcribe to make a written transcription of the recording.

LG Electronics Presidential Liaison department approves monitor replacement.

After speaking with Wendy at the LG Electronics repair facility in Industry City, California, I was transferred to the Presidential Liaison department. I spoke with an agent at the Presidential Liaison department, and I informed the agent what supervisor Wendy stated and that I requested a replacement. The agent reviewed the notes from Wendy and stated that I would receive a reply by text either approving or denying the request. Shortly after speaking with the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison department, I received a text (SMS) message from "Tyeshia" approving my request for an immediate replacement of the LG UltraWide QHD 34-Inch Computer Monitor 34WP65C-B. In the text, I once again was requested to send a copy of proof of purchase, including where I purchased the monitor (Amazon) and the sales and tax information.

On January 3, 2025, Tyeshia in the Presidential Liaison department sent me an SMS text message approving the monitor replacement and requested proof of purchase, where I purchased the monitor, and sales & tax information monitor. Which I had already provided THREE (3) times now to LG Electronics. But, once again, without complaint, I sent the documents again as shown in the text messages.

Phone Call To LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department Request An Update

SIX (6) phone calls I made to LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department requesting an update on my monitor. Trying to obtain information if my monitor has been shipped out. When can I expect it? Any type of update?! I spoke with Edgar, who transferred me to supervisor Jake. Supervisor Jake told me that I would not receive an update until next week, as the ONLY person that can provide me an update is Tyeshia. And, now, Tyeshia is on vacation until January 10, 2025.

Text Messages To LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department requesting an update on where my monitor is.

I tried calling the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department requesting an update and help, but Supervisor Jake informed me that Tyeshia is out of the office until January 10, 2025, and only she can provide me with an update! I asked for her voicemail, but Supervisor Jake stated that Tyeshia does not have voicemail. After the call, I followed up with SMS text messages.

🚨🚨The MOST OBSCURED phone call and potentially illegal phone call I have ever had with a company🚨🚨

I called LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department after receiving their "official submission form". After reviewing LG Electronics Presidential Liaison "official submission form," it states and I quote "Remove the manufacturer's ORIGINAL label showing the model and serial number. Then tear or cut the label in half. Please upload a picture of the Model/Serial Number label torn/cut in half." 🚨HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS???🚨 I don't have the monitor. LG Electronics has my monitor. They sent me a shipping label. I shipped it back to LG Electronics. LG Electronics sends me a text message confirming they received my monitor. Now, they want me to remove the serial label, cut it in half, take a picture, and upload a copy, JUST SO I CAN OBTAIN MY LEGALLY OWED REPLACEMENT MONITOR. I called the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department on January 6, 2025 once again. Spoke with Supervisor Jake. 🚨This is where things get really weird and absured! Supervisor Jake states, and I quote, "Try calling our repair facility and see if you can talk one of the employees into removing the label for you, cutting it in half, and having them take a picture with their 'PERSONAL' cell phone and have them send it to you." 🚨SERIOUSLY!!!🚨 A supervisor from the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department wants me to call 🚨THEIR🚨 repair facility and talk to one of THEIR employees to remove the serial label. In addition, give this employee my 🚨PERSONAL🚨 cell phone number that's not secured in LG Electronics system, and I quote again 🚨🚨"TALK THE EMPLOYEE INTO DOING THIS"🚨🚨. I don't have words other than WOW! and WTF!!! My response: "Im calling Denver 7 (Colorado) News!"

Fig 1. Facebook message from LG Electronics USA Page stating in writing tha they wanted me to contact their own repair facility and talk the technician into removing the serial numbner which is potentially illegal, taking a photo, sending it to me, and uploading it as if I did it, which again, is potentially ILLEGAL!

Note: As I was creating screenshots of all the Facebook messages that was sent and received between me and LG Electronics, I saw this message. I forgot that LG Electronics wrote IN WRITING to do what I waws instructed to do on the phone which is potentially ILLEGAL. To call the LG Electronics repair facility and talk the technician into removing the serial number on the monitor, cutting it in half, taking a photo, and sending it to me on their phone. I would have to provide that technician with my personal number. Not only is this potentially ILLEGAL, but this also creates a large security risk for both the technician and me. Not to mention potentially opening LG Electronics up to liability.

Request To Denver 7 (Colorado) News For Assistance With LG Electronics

Communication with LG Electronics, as shown in complaint after complaint that have been filed on multiple sites, including the Better Business Bureau, was happening to me. On the call with LG Electronic on June 6, 2025, I informed LG Electronics that I would be seeking help from Denver 7 (Colorado) News. I sent a request to Denver 7 News at https://www.denver7.com/about/contact-us

Facebook Messenger Chain with LG Electronics USA

The entire chain of messages on Facebook Messenger between myself and LG Electronics USA. In the message chain, LG Electronics confirms in writing that LG Electronics wanted 'ME' to call their repair facility and request (talk the technician into) the technician to remove my serial number from my monitor AT THE LG ELECTRONICS REPAIR FACILITY, tear it in half, take a picture with their personal smartphone, and text it to me so that I can then send it BACK to LG Electronics. HOW ABSOLUTELY ABSURD IS THIS?! In the chain message, it also confirms my monitor was deemed manufactured defective. My monitor qualifies UNDER MY LIMITED WARRANTY (NOT A CONDITIONAL WARRANTY) for an exchange. YET, the LG Electronics presidential office continued to HARASS ME, ILLEGALLY PRESSURE ME, ILLEGALLY held my monitor hostage, and THREATEN ME by stating they would not return my monitor, and in the end, because I refused to sign an illegal form, they sent the monitor back to me by FedEx 2 Day, unfixed!

🚨LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Sends Me A Ultimatum; Sign Our NDA OR We Won't Fix Your Monitor!

🚨After informing LG Electronics that I was going to contact Denver 7 (Colorado) News for help, the very next day the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department sent me a text saying they tried to call me. THEY DID NOT! Not only did I not have a missed call, I checked with my cell phone company to confirm. I didn't receive A SINGLE call from the start of the day (midnight 00:00 January 7, 2025) to the time of the text message from the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department at 13:49 UTC-6 on January 7, 2025. ANOTHER LIE! The text states "However, As we discussed in order to claim your LG exchange, you will need to complete your official submission form at the link below. I NEVER discussed a form with ANYONE, including ANYONE at LG Electronics or the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department. ANOTHER LIE! I think this might be a "canned" message that LG sends out. The text message goes on to say "IMPORTANT NOTE: You will be required to upload a picture of the model / serial # sticker from your unit cut in half. -> Please ensure that the model # and serial number are still legible after you cut the label." HOW OBSCURED AND RIDICULOUS IS THIS! I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE MONITOR!!! More on this in the next timeline entry below. I assure you, you want to read it. It's the MOST RIDICULOUS thing I have ever been instructed by a company to do!

I have a limited warranty NOT a conditional warranty!

    LG Electronics RMA Form

At this point I knew things were not going to get better. I needed to document EVERYTHING! Which, for the most part, I already had been doing. Tyeshia in the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department sent me the "official submission form" that I had to fill out to have my monitor repaired. At this point, I had already informed the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department that I would be filing a lawsuit if things did not improve. I needed to document this form. However, this form had "required" fields that had to be entered to progress to the next page. I entered as much dummy data as possible so that I could capture each page; As shown in the next timeline entry. What I was not aware of is that LG Electronics was capturing each page. It's a feature called form abandonment. The reason I bring this up will come into play in the mediation. It's actually quite funny. On the second to last page, the signature page, instead of signing with my signature, I gave a big 'F$UCK YOU' as my signature. After I filled out the form, I received the following text message response.

Text message from LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department confirming submission of 'official submission form' that I submitted with dummy data and a big F.U. as the signature, for documenting to the court the illegal practice.

🚨Text message with "EXTREMELLY STRANGE TIMING" from Tyeshia in the LG Electronics Presidential Liasion Department

On January 9, 2025, at or about 7:00 MST, I worked my way through the so-called "your official submission form," placing dummy data into the form so that I could capture each page for documentation purposes. The moment I stopped entering data into the form, I received a strange text message where the start of the text message was cut off. See the above timeline entry "LG Electronics RMA Form" and look at the time of the text message. The time of the message was 07:23 MDT. Then seconds later, not minutes, SECONDS, I receive a text message from Tyeshia in the LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Department. Exactly at the same time as the previous text message, just a few seconds delay. Just seconds after the previous timeline entry at 07:23 MDT. The text message from Tyeshia states that they will take care of pulling off my serial number and tearing it in half from the monitor that I DON'T HAVE!, The monitor, "my monitor," which is at the LG Electronics repair facility. Instead of tearing off the serial number off the monitor I don't have in my possession, instead, I'm instructed to take a picture of this text message and then upload a picture of this text message. AGAIN! WOW! SERIOUSLY!!! how absurd is this??? First, I don't have another camera. Like most people in 2025, my phone is my camera. The only thing I could do is take a screenshot of the text message. Would that work? Who knows! But still, multiple phone calls requesting a phone call from Tyeshia so that I can ask questions. Never once did I receive a call from Tyeshia. I never received a single call from LG Electronics on my request to call me. Luckily, I read the form carefully. It's not just about tearing your serial label in half. The "your official submission form" is a LEGAL CONTRACT! That binds me from TALKING TO THE MEDIA and places unknown legal restraints against me. In the legal contract it states LG Electronics partners, affiliates, and agents. WHO ARE THEY? I would be signing a blanket contract without knowing the facts. I could easily be in breach of that legal contract in the future without even knowing it! Not to mention, I HAVE A LIMITED WARRANTY! NOT A CONDITIONAL WARRANTY. Not a conditional warranty where I have to sign "your official submission form" or even "remove the serial label and tear it in half". The limited warranty DOES NOT state any of this.

🚨LIES, LIES, LIES🚨, By LG Electronics Presidential Liaison Team & LG Electronics Better business Bureau Team.

On January 8, 2025, I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against LG Electronics. Better Business Bureau complaint #: 22784467. I filed this report for multiple reasons. Most importantly, to obtain a phone call and a truthful response from LG Electronics. Also, to document with a reporting agency the illegal activity of LG Electronics. Remember, my monitor came with a "LIMITED" warranty. Not a "CONTINGENT" warranty. Contingent on my signing a legal contract that is extremely vague and binding. On January 9, 2025, Cynthia with the LG Electronics Better Business Bureau Team sent me a text in response to my Better Business Bureau complaint. In the text message it states, and I quote what Cynthia writes, "I tried calling twice and was unable to reach you via phone today." Cynthia specifically states "today," which was January 9, 2025. Again, LIES, made-up fabrications. Not only does my phone show no missed phone calls from anyone that day, but I checked with my cell phone provider. There were "NO" incoming phone calls that day except for one that the cell company marked as spam, with a local area code. I had one incoming spam call that day, January 9, 2025, with a local Colorado area code. I even called the spam call just to verify. The only phone call that day was an outgoing phone call from me trying to obtain help from LG Electronics that was not answered! Cynthia LIED! LG Electronics LIED, AGAIN! The text goes on to say "I saw that you have already been offered an exchange on your monitor. Follow the weblink you were sent so that our Returns Department can process your request to send a new unit." LG Electronics illegal tried to go against their "LIMITED WARRANTY". There should "NEVER" been an "OFFER", My monitor was deamed IN WRITING, by LG Electronics "Defective by the manufacturer". The Limited Warranty specifically says what is to be done due to a defective monitor. There is no "OFFER" that is contingent on me signing a legal, vague, binding contract to have my monitor repaired. 'NOT' contingent on if!, I sign some "official submission form," signing my legal rights away, placing me into a very STRICT legal, binding contract and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The limited warranty does not include a statement that you must sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) or any type of signing of a contract to have your monitor repaired.

On January 9, 2025, Cynthia from the LG Electronics Better Business Bureau team responsed by text message to my BBB complaint with this being a screenshot of the text message
Fig 1. Text message from Cynthia at the LG Electronics Better Business Bureau Team in response to my Better Business Bureau complaint 22784467 that I filed on January 8, 2025.
My phone log for January 9, 2025, prooving, without a shadow of a doubt that LG Electronics and Cynthia With LG Electronics Better Business Team LIED!
Fig 1. Phone logs from January 9, 2025, providing proof that Cynthia with the LG Electronics Better Business Bureau team lied!

Note: When I filed the Better Business Bureau complaint online, I used the Better Business Bureau online form. After submitting the form, I never received a copy of my original complaint. I reached out to the Better Business Bureau and requested a copy on July 3, 2025. Once I receive a copy of the full report with all the responses, I will publish it here and add a quick blog post notification.

Absolutely Appauling and Absolutely Oblivious Response From LG Electronics

While placing dummy data into the LG Electronics "official submission form," aka RMA form, and taking screenshots of each page, when I arrived at the second to last page, prior to submitting the form, there is a signature field where you draw your signature. There was ABSOLUTELY no way that I was going to sign my name. Even with dummy data placed in the form field! I needed to get to the next page of the form so I could take a screenshot of the page for documentation purposes. In the signature field, I wrote a large F$ck No! Just in case LG Electronics was tracking the form. Which they were! I got to the next page, which was the submission page. I did not submit the form! I took a screenshot and closed the browser window. However, as I suspected, LG Electronics was capturing the data. About thirty minutes after closing the browser window without submitting the form, I receive a text message from LG Electronics stating, "Goodday! [sic] This is LG Ra [sic] Dept. reaching [sic] out regarding with [sic] your case please input an appropiate [sic] signature for us to proceed with your replacement request. Thank you". All they wanted was my signature! I DID NOT place any of my personal data into the form fields. Just dummy data. Which anyone looking at the form would have known. For example, the street I used "123 main st None AL 123456". For the name, I placed "John Doe". But, with my signature, they would have bound me to their strict nondisclosure agreement and vague contract with the dummy data. LG Electronics continued to press hard for me to sign that form and held my monitor hostage until I did. I REFUSED! No way, no how, would I ever sign that form. I legally DID NOT HAVE TO! And LG Electronics was breaching their LEGAL obligation to me!

🚨🚨LG Electronics Supervisor Incoming Call That I Am Required To Sign the Form Or LG Electronics Will Keep The Monitor🚨🚨

On January 9, 2025, at or about 13:58 UTC-6, I received a call from an LG Electronics supervisor by the name of "Gel" (may be misspelled), and he stated that my signature is 'REQUIRED' on the LG Electronics "official submission form," aka RMA form. If I do not fill out the form, sign it, and submit the form, LG Electronics will 'NOT' fix my monitor and KEEP IT! LG Electronics would not return my monitor unless I filled out and signed their illegal form that they are requiring, forcing me, and harassing me to sign! The form that has a strict nondisclosure agreement and a strict and vague contract. I responded, "I look forward to you explaining this to a judge" and hung up! No other response from me. That summed up everything I needed to say.

My Very Strong Text Message Response To LG Electronics Response Requesting My Signature, AGAIN!

About thirty minutes after taking the last screenshots of the last page of the "official submission form" aka RMA form, I received a text message from LG Electronics requesting my "APPROPRIATE SIGNATURE". I NEVER submitted the form. All the data was dummy data, like "John Doe" for the name. I sent a chain of text messages stating that I WILL NEVER sign the "official submission form"! And I'm filing a small claims lawsuit. I know LG Electronics didn't believe me. LG Electronics bullies people! People live paycheck to paycheck. A lot of individuals don't have the funds and or knowledge to perform a small claims lawsuit. LG Electronics thinks they can get away with the horrific bullying behavior because of this. NOT WITH ME! I stand by what I say. I said I was going to sue them, and that is exactly what I did...AND I WON!

Thirty-Five (35) Minutes Later, LG Electronics Sends The Exact Same Response Negating Any True Response To My Question And Statements

After my string of very strong responses to LG Electronics stating that I will 'NEVER' sign their "official submission form," aka RMA form. The form that contains a strict NDA (nondisclosure agreement) and a very vague contract, LG Electronics responds with the VERY same short text message requesting my signature. Even after stating that I would 'NEVER' sign their illegal form to obtain my legally obligated repair on my LG UltraWide QHD 34-Inch Computer Monitor 34WP65C-B. LG Electronic's once again requested my signature by sending me an exact copy of their previous text message.

LG Electronics sends me the exact same text message requesting my signature when I clearely stated multiple times that I would 'NEVER' sign their 'official submission form' with a strict NDA and vague contract.

I could tell LG Electronics did not believe that I would file a lawsuit. In my response to LG Electronics, I clearely stated that I would 'NEVER' sign the "official submission form". I WILL file a lawsuit. And I would start a website that has an easy domain to search for, which I have ... this website! When I say I'm going to do something ... I DO IT!

Entire Chain of Messages On Facebook Messenger With LG Electronics Global

On January 9, 2025, I saw a post on the LG Electronics Global Facebook Page. The post was about someone having difficulties like I was having with LG Electronics warranty repair. I replied to that post saying I was having problems too. Shortly after, LG Electronics Global sent me a message on Facebook Messenger. I responded, but LG Electronics Global never responded back to me.

LG Electronics Global sent me a Facebook Messenger asking for my case number, then never responded to me. Each image in this chain is the same, except for my mouse hovering on each image. It was the only way to show the date and time of the message.

LG Electronics Absolute Horrific Support - No Other Way To State It

Do I need to send a text message in multiple languages to LG Electronics for them to understand? I don't know how else to state, 'I AM NOT GOING TO SIGN THEIR NONDISCLOSURE AGREEMENT AND STRICT AND VAGUE CONTRACT!' I LEGALLY DO NOT HAVE TO!!! LG Electronics is failing their LEGAL obligation to me, and at what point does it become 'HARASSMENT'???! I stated multiple times, "NO! I AM NOT SIGNING YOUR FORM." ... PERIOD! LG Electronics sends me a text message the very next day, January 10, 2025, at 6:28 in the morning after I said I AM NOT going to sign their nondisclosure agreement (NDA) and vague contract. Multiple times I have sent that text message stating I am not going to sign that form! They are technically supposed to wait until 8:30 am. At this point, I think we all can agree LG Electronics has no consideration for their legal obligation to me or basic customer and human respect by not texting someone at 6:28 am. They didn't even wait until 6:30 am. I'm on Mountain Time. Even if they were in the Eastern time zone (they know where I'm located and are supposed to respect the customer's time zone when contacting a customer), that would be before 8:30 am. Yet, they send me a text message at 6:28 am, REQUESTING my signature on an illegal form that I have stated multiple times in writing that I will not sign! I have a limited warranty, 'NOT' a conditional warranty. LG Electronics stated in writing they will not fix my monitor unless I sign that form, which includes a very strict NDA and a very strict and vague contract, which is illegal. I DO NOT have to sign that form to have my monitor fixed. LG Electronics was legally violating their legal obligation to fix my monitor that was deemed a MANUFACTURING DEFECT by LG Electronics in writing! And now, in the text message, LG Electronics is requesting morepictures. I already sent my pictures. The monitor has already been deemed DEFECTIVE by the manufacturer. I don't even have the monitor. It's at the LG Electronics repair facility. HOW ABSOLUTELY IDIOTIC CAN A COMPANY BE???

LG Electronics sends me a text message at 6:28 AM requesting my signature AGAIN on their ILLEGAL form that I have stated multiple times that I will 'NOT' sign. I DO NOT legally have to sign an NDA and a strict and vague contract for my legally obligated warranty repair.

I have stated in writing multiple times I am not going to sign LG Electronics "official submission form." I have sent in writing that at this point I consider this "HARASSMENT"! I have asked LG Electronics a multitude of questions in writing, in my text messages, that LG Electronics refuses to answer. Yet, LG Electronics has held my monitor hostage and states LG Electronics refuses to fix my monitor unless I sign a contract giving up my FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS and forcing me into a STRICT AND EXTREMELY VAGUE CONTRACT! At what point is this "COERCION," "EXTORTION" AND "DURESS"? I have stated NO, I will not sign this form in writing, multiple times. LG Electronics has my monitor that they know, as I have stated in writing, that this monitor is extremelly important to me as I can't afford a new monitor and I need this monitor for work. LG Electronics is holding my monitor hostage and refuses to fix my monitor unless I sign a form in FOURTEEN (14) DAYS, that I DO NOT LEGALLY HAVE TO SIGN. 🚨🚨FOURTY-TWO (42) Minutes Later, LG Electronics Sends Text That They Are Sending The Monitor Back To Me NOT FIX!🚨🚨

After sending my previous text message, reiterating again that I will never sign the LG Electronics "official submission form," aka RMA Form, Cynthia with the LG Electronics Better Business Bureau Team sends me a text stating they are closing my warranty request and sending my "DEFECTIVE PRODUCT," aka monitor, back to me. LG Electronics states in writing what they are illegally doing. My monitor is "DEFECTIVE" and they are refusing to fulfill their legal warranty obligation by sending the "DEFECTIVE" monitor back to me. Just three days prior, a supervisor at LG Electronics told me they would NOT send my monitor back to me and would keep it if I DID NOT sign the form. Cynthia just a few days ago said I had FOURTEEN DAYS (14) to sign the RMA. At this point, who knew what would happen? LG Electronics LIES, LIES, LIES. You can't trust anything they say. I don't know what is true and what is not true. They illegally held my monitor hostage. They tried FORCEFULLY by harassing me into signing an illegal contract and NDA that I do NOT have to sign for warranty repair. I have a LIMITED WARRANTY! I DO NOT HAVE A CONDITIONAL WARRANTY! I responded with my last text message. Simple and to the point! "see in [sic] court," aka See You In Court!

Request To Testify

I hope you NEVER have to file a lawsuit against LG Electronics. I hope LG Electronics will start to step up to the plate and honor their commitments. But, if they don't, and you do have to stand up to this bully, I'll be more than happy to testify. LG Electronics has a history of bad behavior. And I'll be more than happy to testify regarding my experience with LG Electronics. And, because I said `NO` ... `NO`, I WILL NOT sign an NDA; all my documents are public. I'll be more than happy to share them. I'm doing this to help others. For now, I'm not going to charge to testify. As long as it doesn't get out of hand. I rarely travel. I assume most courts allow for most witnesses to testify virtually. However, if travel is involved, then a nominal expense fee will be required.

LG Electronics Better Business Bureau Complaints
BBB LG Electronics Page | 2,157 Complains† | 5,912 Complaints†

† As of June 30, 2025, the Better Business Bureau shows that there have been five-thousand nine-hundred twelve (5,912) complaints in the past three (3) years! In just the past twelve (12) months, there have been two-thousand one-hundred fifty-seven (2,157) complaints. I did file a Better Business Bureau complaint but, as LG Electronics is not a member of the Better Business Bureau, or at least according to the BBB page on June 30, 2025, the Better Business Bureau couldn't help me much. However, that doesn't mean you SHOULD NOT file a complaint. Filing a complaint publicizes LG Electronics behavior. Provides a record. And, if you do have to file a lawsuit, you can show the court that you took steps to resolve the situation prior to filing the lawsuit. As of June 30, 2025, you can view and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at the following URL https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/englewd-clfs/profile/appliances/lg-electronics-0221-26000674/complaints.

LG Electronics Forced Arbitration

LG Customer May Only Have 30 Days to Opt Out of Forced Arbitration After Your Purchase

https://www.lg.com/us/arbitration

LG Electronics Forced Arbitration aka Procedures For Resolving Disputes https://www.lg.com/us/arbitration

What You Need to Know About LG's Forced Arbitration Clause

When I purchased my LG monitor, I carefully reviewed the warranty agreement and found no mention of arbitration. From my understand, LG cannot legally force me into arbitration for any disputes about my monitor, which they did not! However, many other LG products including TVs, appliances, and phones may include a "hidden" forced arbitration clause buried in the warranty or user manual. If you don't opt out within 30 days of consumer purchaser's purchase†, you may permanently give up your right to take LG to court and be forced into arbitration.

Disclaimer: I'm not a licensed attorney and this isn't legal advice. I'm just sharing what I've personally come to understand based on research. For my legal protection I have to say, "From my understanding." Here we go. From my understanding, the 30 days does not start until you take possession of the purchased item. Meaning, if I purchased the item on July 1 from Amazon and it's not delivered until July 15, that is the day that I took possession of the product. And that's when the thirty (30) day count down starts. But, as always, it's best to check with a licensed legal professional.

LG's arbitration policy which you can review at their official site (https://www.lg.com/us/arbitration) includes not only a requirement to resolve disputes through binding arbitration (rather than through the court), but also a class‑action waiver. This means, "from my understanding" if you don't opt out, you can't join or initiate a class-action lawsuit, and disputes must be handled individually, even if many customers have similar claims. That limits collective legal power and can make it much harder for consumers to challenge systemic problems. Opting out within 30 days preserves your right to pursue legal action in court including as part of a class if necessary. Again, it's best to consult a licensed legal professional.

How to Opt Out of LG's Arbitration Clause

Opting out of LG's arbitration clause is simple and my option, I highly recommended it.

As of July 31, 2025, LG provides two options to opt out, per their policy at https://lg.com/us/arbitration .

Option 1 (Preferred):

Send an email to optout@lge.com with the subject line:

"Arbitration Opt Out"

In your message, be sure to include:

  • Your full name and address
  • The date of purchase
  • The product model name or number
  • The product serial number
  • (You can find this on the product or by visiting LGs Support Page https://www.lg.com/us/support and clicking “How do I find my model number?”)

Option 2 (I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT DO THIS):

Call 1-800-980-2973 and provide the same information above.

Why I Strongly Recommend Using Email

Although LG allows you to opt out by phone, I highly discourage using that method. Here's why:

    • Phone calls are hard to prove. Most states do not allow you to legally record a phone call unless both parties consent. I live in Colorado, a “one-party” state, so I'm allowed to record as long as I'm part of the conversation, but even then, the laws can be a bit nuanced.
    • Written proof is always stronger. With email, you can document that your opt-out request was submitted and received, as shown below.

This was important in my lawsuit against LG as the trial started the Judge asked LG if they had reeived my Plaintiff's exhibits. LG stated to the judge and outright LIED that LG Electronics never received my Plaintiff exhibits that were due to LG, ten days before the trial date.

LG tried to get my exhibits stricken from the record which could have sabotaged my case. But knowing and dealing with LG for months prior, I already knew what type of beast LG is. I planned ahead. I made sure to enable both Delivery Status Notification (DSN) and Read Receipts on all emails I send to LG. I also marked every message High Priority.

When LG made their false claim in court, I stayed calm. I let them finish digging their own hole, then I respectfully told the judge "that is a complete falsehood and I can back it up with written proof."

“Your Honor, I can prove I sent all exhibits in advance ten days prior to this trial date. I have a copy for both you and the Defendant (LG) of my email's Delivery Status Notification and Read Receipts, confirmations directly from LG's email server, and two of the emails were even opened, as confirmed by read receipts from LG's attorney.” (I beleive LG attorney on record accidentely sent the read receipts. She normally won't provide a read receipt to me.)

If I hadn't enabled those settings and brought a copy of the the Delivery Status Noticiation and Read Receipts with me to trial, the outcome might have been very different.

Best Practices When Sending Your Opt-Out Email

I highly recommend enabling two features when you send your opt-out email:

    • Delivery Status Notification (DSN)

This sends a server-generated confirmation that LG’s mail server received your message. Unlike a read receipt, this is not optional, almost all mail servers automatically send this back.

    • Read Receipt (Optional)

This feature requests that the recipient confirms they’ve opened your email. However, it’s up to LG to allow it, and in my experience, they rarely do. Still, it’s worth enabling just in case.

I always mark the email as High Priority and turn on both DSN and read receipt. In my own legal case against LG, they falsely claimed they never received important documents. Because I had enabled DSN and kept the confirmation receipts, I was able to prove beyond a doubt that LG had received every one of my emails. That simple preparation made all the difference in court.

Don't Forget to back up your email and "Read Delivery Status Notification"!!!

After sending your opt-out email, save a copy and back it up. Store the delivery confirmation somewhere safe cloud storage, a USB stick, even a printed hard copy if needed. This one small step could protect your rights down the line.

How I Sued LG Electronic U.S.A., Inc., And Won!

Blog
  1. I won!!!
I won! The bully that lied and technically even cheated lost. LG was a liar and cheater! Proven liar! Like most bullies, it's scary, it's hard, it's time-consuming, you lose a lot of sleep, and it's emotional and painful! But if you stand up to bullies, you can win! And that's what I did on June 24, 2024. I'm here to encourage anyone to do the same with LG Electronics. They behaved like bully. They lied! LG Electronics tried to cheat me! But the court saw right through it and ruled in my favor!
  2. Creation of I Sued LG website
I won in court two days ago. I stood up to the liar and cheater, aka LG Electronics. It took a lot of time and effort. But, it can be done! And now, I want to help others that this bully has been terrorizing. I started creating this site. https://ISuedLG.com to help others. Today, I wrote the first line of code.
  3. I Sued LG website is now LIVE!

🥳 I Sued LG website went online! There is still a lot of work to be done on the website but, it's avaiable for all. More to come soon...

  4. Potential of A Class Action Lawsuit

Begining the research of a class action lawsuit. Primary element of the class action lawsuit is the "official submission form". This is just the research phase. It's still at least a minimum of three to six months out as of this blog post date.
